Fritz Lang‘s film "Der müde Tod" (aka Destiny, The Weary
Death, Between Two Worlds) from 1921is a tragic love story in captivating expressionist
images. In order to save her departed lover from death a young woman makes a
deal with Death. Save a dwindling life and you will get back your beloved one.
Based on the fairy tale Gevatter Tod [The Grim Reaper] Fritz Lang’s film
adapts the experiences of the First World War. With the help of bass, guitars,
drums, organ, laptop sounds and DJ this film classic gets an up-to-date soundtrack,
a “completely rounded” and ‘custom-built’ score especially
composed and performed for this film.
